About us<\/h2>\n

TalTech is an advocate of responsible business and ESG (environmental, social, and governance) principles, and a key partner in developing and implementing sustainable economic models and their principles.<\/p>\n

The ESG Centre was established to combine science, entrepreneurship, and society in shaping a sustainable and responsible future. We aim to find research-based solutions to support economic well-being, social justice, and environmental accountability, and seek to inspire and guide all economic stakeholders to make informed and impactful decisions that contribute to a balanced and sustainable economic environment.<\/p>\n

The centre initiates, supports, and disseminates leading research on critical issues of responsible business and ESG, and participates in collaborative projects in Estonia and internationally. We consider and support the developments in TalTech’s green strategy, including circular economy, green transition business models, sustainable marine environments, and a roadmap to climate neutrality.<\/p>\n

The strategic management of the focus centre is coordinated by a steering committee, comprising representatives of the faculty and other key structural units, which promotes interdisciplinary cooperation to ensure that the centre effectively achieves its objectives while creating lasting value for the academic community and society at large.<\/p>\n

Mission<\/h3>\n

To promote a responsible economy and serve as Estonia\u2019s leading research and collaboration platform for implementing ESG principles. TalTech School of Business and Governance ESG Centre supports the development of sustainable economic models, serving as a trusted partner to the public and private sectors.<\/p>\n

Our activities are based upon three interconnected areas \u2013 university, entrepreneurship, and society \u2013 which provide a strong foundation for driving positive and lasting change.<\/p>\n

General Objective<\/h3>\n

To promote responsible business and sustainability by leading cutting-edge research and collaborative projects in the field of ESG.<\/p>\n

Sub-Goals<\/h4>\n

  1. \u00a0Provide other schools of the university with domain-specific expertise in responsible business and ESG-related areas.<\/li>\n
  2. Serve as a collaboration partner for companies on their journey towards more sustainable business models by transforming academic knowledge into business practice.<\/li>\n
  3. Diversify teaching and learning and research opportunities through collaboration with the university and the business sector.<\/li>\n
  4. Advance international and interdisciplinary cooperation with universities, research and development institutions and companies.<\/li>\n
  5. Explore opportunities to integrate sustainability and ESG principles into the university\u2019s core activities (teaching and research), engaging students and employees.<\/li>\n
