Participation in the training is free of charge, provided the course is completed in full. Failure to meet this condition will result in the training being considered a regular course according to TalTech’s continuing education regulations.
Registration does not automatically guarantee a place in the course. Selection is based on target group eligibility. If accepted, you will be contacted prior to the course start.

DESCRIPTION

Target Group:
The course is aimed at employees of companies (including ESG managers, specialists, or other staff) responsible for or intending to take responsibility for implementing and adhering to ESG principles.
Employees involved in teaching at vocational schools and universities may also participate.

Objectives:

The course provides participants with practical knowledge and skills for integrating sustainability and ESG principles into a company’s business model, managing organizational transition, and supporting the company’s ability to report in compliance with ESG directives. The aim is to foster leadership in the green transition within companies.

Upon Completion, Participants Will Be Able To:

  • Analyze a company’s business model from a sustainability perspective while maintaining profitability and efficiency;
  • Understand ESG reporting frameworks;
  • Identify and assess significant sustainability impact areas, taking stakeholder expectations into account;
  • Understand various change management models;
  • Plan a sustainable roadmap for their company/organization;
  • Collect data required for ESG reporting and complete reports according to the relevant framework.

Course Topics:

  1. Principles of sustainability and ESG
  2. ESG reporting frameworks
  3. Supply chain analysis, innovation, and circular economy opportunities in business
  4. Analysis of significant impact areas derived from the business model (impact, risks, opportunities)
  5. Goal setting and performance indicators for a sustainable business model
  6. Designing and managing an ESG transition strategy
  7. Developing a sustainability roadmap considering stakeholder expectations
  8. Change management and organizational engagement
  9. Role of innovation and automation in sustainability
  10. Independent work: preparing a sustainability roadmap

Learning Format:
Online lectures and seminars; no in-person sessions. Supported by TalTech’s Moodle learning environment, which hosts materials, communication with trainers and peers, submission of assignments, and feedback.

Assessment:
Test completion and submission of independent work.

Completion Requirements:

  • Attendance: minimum 70% of contact hours
  • Submission of independent work (sustainability roadmap)
  • Passing the test (at least 50% of points required)
